The GX-1 Series is SellEton's family of metric-thread NTEP shear beam load cells, in two body sizes. Small envelope load cells (up to 5,000 lb each, M12 thread) are the load cells on SellEton SL-700 series floor scales and most platform scales. Large envelope load cells (5,000 LE and 10,000 lb each, M20 thread) build 10,000 and 20,000 lb scales, and a large body size (20,000 lb each, M24 x 2) reaches 40,000 lb. Alloy steel or stainless steel.

How to Read the Capacity
Every pack comes with four load cells. The number in the name is the rating of one load cell. Four 5,000 lb load cells add up to 20,000 lb, but a floor scale is built to use only half of that. The other half is a 200% safety margin for shock loads, forklifts and off-center weight. So a pack of four 5,000 lb load cells makes a 10,000 lb scale.
Which pack do I need?
- Replacing the load cells on an SL-700, or a standard platform weighing up to 10,000 lb: the small envelope pack (2,000 kg / 4,400 lb load cells).
- A heavy-duty platform weighing up to 10,000 lb: the pack of 5,000 lb large envelope load cells.
- Weighing up to 20,000 lb: the pack of 10,000 lb large envelope load cells.
- Weighing up to 40,000 lb: the pack of 20,000 lb large body load cells.
