Warranty Policy

SellEton Scales Warranty Policy — 5 Year Limited Warranty

SellEton Scales ("SellEton") warrants the products it sells to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of delivery. This warranty applies to SellEton-branded products and to products SellEton sells as an authorized reseller. Where a manufacturer provides a longer term on a product or component, that longer term applies.

This warranty covers load cells, indicators, and internal wiring supplied as part of the product. It does not cover physical damage to the product, or the excluded items listed below.

Warranty Services

If the product proves defective during the warranty period, SellEton, at its discretion, will provide the following warranty services:

Repair: SellEton may offer telephone support services to diagnose and repair the product at no charge for parts.
Replacement: SellEton may replace the defective product with a comparable product, which may be new or refurbished.

Warranty Claim Process

Customers are encouraged to first use the support materials provided with the product, product diagnostics, information available on our website, and email support. If these steps are unsuccessful, the Customer must notify SellEton Scales or its authorized service representative of the defect before the warranty period expires.

Customers are expected to provide reasonable assistance to our telephone support personnel in resolving the issue. If telephone support cannot resolve it, SellEton Scales or its authorized service representative will advise how to obtain warranty repair.

Service Availability

Service under this warranty is available in the United States only. SellEton Scales reserves the right to charge for service in exceptional cases.

Remote Access

If the Customer's product features remote diagnostics and repair capabilities, SellEton Scales may request remote access to the product for troubleshooting and repair purposes.

Replacement Parts

During maintenance, SellEton Scales may use new or equivalent-to-new parts, assemblies, or products of equal or improved quality. All defective parts, assemblies, and products become the property of SellEton Scales. Returns and claims are handled in accordance with SellEton Scales' current procedure.

Exclusions

The following items are covered for one (1) week from the date of delivery rather than the full five-year term:

Batteries
External cables and wires exposed to the operating environment
Other wearing parts and consumables
Software

This warranty does not apply to any defect, failure, or damage caused by:

a) Improper use, or improper or inadequate maintenance and care

b) Attempts by personnel other than SellEton Scales representatives to install, repair, or service the product, unless directed by a SellEton Scales representative

c) Use of incompatible equipment, or non-SellEton Scales supplies or consumables

d) Modification of the product, or integration with other products, that increases the time or difficulty of servicing or degrades performance or reliability

e) Failure to perform user maintenance and cleaning as prescribed in product materials

f) Use of the product in an environment not meeting the operating specifications set out in the user manual

g) Failure to properly prepare and transport the product as prescribed in product materials

h) Operation of the product beyond its rated capacity

Returns

This warranty is separate from our return policy. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery, in new and unused condition, subject to a 25% restocking fee. See our Refund and Return Policy for full terms.

Disclaimer

SellEton Scales and its vendors disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, or any similar standard imposed by applicable legislation. SellEton Scales' responsibility to repair, replace, or offer a refund for defective products and related items is the sole and exclusive remedy provided to the customer for breach of these warranties.

Some states, provinces, and countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on the duration of implied warranties or conditions, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state or jurisdiction.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by local law, except for the obligations specifically set out in this warranty statement, in no event shall SellEton Scales or its vendors be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of profits), whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and irrespective of whether SellEton Scales or the vendor had advance notice of the possibility of such damages.
