The Rice Lake AX3040 Axle Scale is a versatile, mobile axle weighing system engineered for accurate vehicle weight measurement in non-Legal for Trade scenarios. Whether for construction sites, vehicle maintenance yards, or temporary truck inspections, the AX3040 delivers consistent results in a portable and rugged format.
Each system includes two treaded platforms and on/off ramps, with your choice of steel or lightweight aluminum construction. Tandem platforms support axle loads of either 60,000 lb or 80,000 lb—with individual platforms supporting 30,000 lb or 40,000 lb each. The low-profile design allows for easy vehicle access via shallow-incline ramps while still offering long-term durability.
The AX3040 comes equipped with two load cells per platform, JB4SS TuffSeal® junction box, and high-quality interconnect cables, making it a plug-and-play axle weighing solution. With optional platform sizes of 7 ft, 12 ft, or 14 ft, many vehicles can be weighed entirely in one pass, depending on length.
This axle scale system is an excellent choice for any operation needing temporary, portable axle weighing without the regulatory requirements of a Legal for Trade system.
