The Rice Lake 882IS/882IS Plus is a rugged, intrinsically safe digital weight indicator designed for hazardous environments, including chemical processing, mining, oil and gas, and explosive material handling applications. This explosion-proof scale indicator meets FM, ATEX, and IECEx safety standards, making it ideal for Class I, II, III, Division 1 hazardous locations.
The auto-ranging power supply enables wiring through a single AC conduit line from a safe area. For applications requiring mobility, an FM-approved rechargeable battery option is available, providing up to 100 hours of continuous use.
The white LED-backlit LCD display offers excellent visibility in all lighting conditions, and the IP66 stainless steel enclosure protects against dust, water, and corrosion. The optional safe-area I/O module expands connectivity with serial ports, Ethernet TCP/IP, analog output, and fieldbus support.
